A preteen boy, a teenage girl, and a man in his 30s find themselves in an icy chamber with absolutely no memory of anything. Not their names, where they are from, who they are, or how they got there. There is only the feeling that they escaped something dreadful. As they wander aimlessly, trying to discover their location, they are taken in by a nearby village, entirely occupied by residents who appeared the same way they did. In the same place, with the same memory loss, and the same feeling of relief.
The three, finding themselves with no other course of action, start life in the new town. While confined to the town thanks to the various animals, or 'aberrations' that wander the strange landscape, the three find themselves oddly comfortable. However, it is not but three months that a young boy from the village, Allen, suddenly goes missing, and the three suddenly find themselves thrown into a whirlwind of intrigue as they learn more about the strange land that they've found themselves in, the memories they had forgotten, and how everything came to be. Eventually they find themselves with a choice. Save the world, including themselves, or destroy it all, including themselves.
